Continuing our work with Ellicott School District, MWGC will soon begin construction on the Ellicott Elementary School High Wind Area Addition. Teaming up with MW GOLDEN CONSTRUCTORS on the design-build project is the architectural firm Hollis + Miller.
In 2019 Ellicott School District was awarded a BEST Grant which will help fund the $1.8 million addition. The High Wind Area Addition is a 4,660 SF multipurpose room providing additional cafeteria seating, space for after school programs, and occasional presentations. In the event of a high wind hazard such as tornadoes, the school will use the addition as a safe area as the project is designed to withstand higher than minimum structural loads.
