Denver Human Services

Completion: November 2019

The City and County of Denver recently awarded MW GOLDEN CONSTRUCTORS with a $2 million renovation to their 25,980 square-foot satellite office for Denver Human Services. Interior renovations will be administered to all three floors of the building. The interior renovations include new walls, windows, flooring, casework and MEP adjustments as needed to accommodate the renovated spaces.

 

Upgrades to the exterior of the building will include new concrete steps and ramps to bring the building to ADA compliance. A new stairwell will be constructed to add an east entry vestibule. This project will continue MWGC’s strong relationship with the City and County of Denver, with MWGC constructing 9 projects with them over the past 2 years.

Providence Village Rec Center

Completion: March 2020

DCSD Charter School Improvements

Completion: 2021

The Providence Village Recreation Center will serve the occupants of the 800 homes that will eventually encompass the Providence Village neighborhood within Sterling Ranch. Designed by Woodley Architectural Group, the structure will be 2 stories and 6,000 square feet. The exterior of the building will reflect the quality and fine craftsmanship of the houses around it. The interior of the ground floor of the facility will have an exercise room and high-end locker room. A second floor “Great Hall” will be used for community events and gatherings.

 

Outside the recreation center will be an outdoor pool accessible for Sterling Ranch residents. This is the first project in what MW GOLDEN CONSTRUCTORS sees as productive and mutually-beneficial relationship between us and Sterling Ranch.

Over the next two years MWGC will be making improvements to 8 charter schools withing the Douglas County School District. The schools receiving upgrades will be Academy Charter School, Challenge to Excellence, DCS Montessori Charter School, North Star Academy, Parker Core Knowledge, Platte River Academy, SkyView Academy, and STEM School Highlands Ranch.

Capital improvements will include, but not be limited to:

 

  • Replacement of smoke dampers, toilet partitions, RTUs, Communication Systems and door hardware. 

  • Installation of emergency power, associated electrical, handicap controls, and smoke hatch.

  • Upgrade electrical switchgear and intercom.

  • Miscellaneous repairs.
